Mid-America Institute for Aging In Place and Research’s mission is to both empower seniors and caretakers in making the best possible decision when it comes to their care and to advocate for them in-order-to protect their rights and assets.
Our most vulnerable communities are individuals who are physically disabled, and senior citizens.
- An estimated 61 million adults in the United States live with a disability and more than 54 million living Americans have reached senior-citizen age
With baby boomers now making up for the largest population in the U.S., our country will see the senior citizen community grow to an estimated 70.9 million people within the next ten years.
It is our goal to normalize the practice of disabled individuals and senior citizens aging-in-place.
Through our programs and research, we will continue to work to build a culture where the disabled and senior communities feel safe, secure and healthy in their own homes.
